Gastón Alejandro MIÑO, Gourmet Baking candidate at the 2018 Masters de la Boulangerie

In Argentina, everyone consumes bread products daily. But, consumers are a long way from imagining the know-how that goes into these products. Argentine cuisine is renowned and consumers have refined tastes. However, baked products - even Viennese pastries - are gastronomy’s poor relations.

“The bakery profession is neither well known, nor recognised. By participating in the Masters, I have a chance to showcase my profession and to carry the public with me. Before playing a social role and contributing to public health, bakery must be accorded its proper place in our society. So, my aim is to go as far as possible and to highlight Argentine know-how.”
